Hello and welcome...

Do you come here often? BLUE BAR GO AWAY PLEASE !!!

March 20th, 2012

Some people are getting very annoyed by Google’s latest screw up. A message saying “Do you come here often, and do you want to make Google your home page?” Or something like that… Is it Malware is the first thought most people have, especially as most of them are already using Google as their home page and the rest who say NO THANKS, get the message again 5 minutes later. How frustrating it is.

My advice is that it is officially a Google thing as far as we know. That it will go away eventually, when Google decide they have annoyed and confused you enough, and for now just ignore it or say no thanks and try to ignore it some more. Grrrrr! Moving to Bing will make it stop, but who would want to move to Bing?

“Come Here Often? Make Google Your Homepage. Sure! – NO THANKS !!!”

Unlock Apple iPhone 3G from O2

January 28th, 2012

Firstly – Don’t run any software to mess up your phone by trying to unlock it from O2. And don’t pay some idiot £50 – £75 to let them send your phone away for a month. Most of the software you can buy (or get Free) on line either does nothing or screws your phone and you will never get your money back!!!

SO HOW DO I UNLOCK MY iPhone THEN?

It is this simple. Go to the O2 web site and fill in the UNLOCK MY PHONE form, or use the Support phone number or (BRILLIANT) chat page. It takes 72 hours to complete from chat with support or a week if you fill in the form yourself. They charge a £15 fee if you are on Pay and Go, but it is FREE for all other types of sims when the contract is over. That is it. SIMPLE. Wait 72 hours, put another sim in phone and plug into iTunes. DONE!

I imagine ORANGE and all the other mobile phone companies do the same thing. I have to say that I unlocked a phone from O2 as I had a long (9 month) period left on my 3Mobile account. However, O2 were so good, so friendly, quick and approachable, that I am going to be going back to them in October for sure.

WELL DONE O2… 5 STARS!

iPhones WAP and PDA

October 12th, 2010

A lot of people are asking us about iPhones and other portable web devices.  Our sites can be made to work on almost any platform.  However, some customers like to have FLASH elements in their sites which will not work on iPhones.

This is not a big problem as we can use a script to redirect viewers in different directions depending on what they view your web site from, so if the viewer needs to be looking at an iPhone friendly version of the website, no problem!

We can also make a very simple page for WAP phones to view.

Walmsley Estate Agency opens new office in Theale Kent

August 21st, 2009

We are please to say that Walmsley have opened a new office in Theale to compliment their current office in Caversham Reading Kent.  Here are a few words from Simon Walmsley, our oldest customer who we began working with in about 1998.

‘Opening a new office requires considerable preparation and foresight. There is always something that is behind and with us it was the company internet site. Fortunately Frank, who had just finished our newest version sprang into life and implemented the changes and new search facilities within 24 hours of instruction. Thanks to him all was uploaded on line the same day as the shop front signs. Great timing Frank and thanks’

So if you need to buy, sell or let property in Theale, now you can.

Thanks

June 18th, 2009

This time tomorrow I will be on top of Snowden setting up camp.  Then on Saturday at day break we will be off to do the other 14 peaks in the 15 Peaks Challenge.  Wish me luck, it is not too late to sponsor me.

I have not had much time to BLOG with doing several training weekends on the mountains and three days a week at the gym.  The walk is taking place this weekend, we climb Snowden on Friday the 19th, sleep at the summit and then start off at day break on Saturday,  to cover another 14 peaks all over 3000 feet high, (hopefully) before dark.

IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO GIVE A DONATION !

Sponsor me at this address to give money to Cancer Research https://www.charitiestrust.org/members_data/event/frankpeaks/index.html
Or to give funds to Acorns Children’s Charity, send your name, home address and postcode (so that we can claim back the Gift Aid Tax for the charity) and amount you would like to sponsor me for to my email address design@frankpages.net

Thanks you to all that have sponsored me so far.  It really helps to keep me going.  A special thanks goes out to Richard for spending a couple of hours a day, 3 days a week training me in the gym.  To Justine for putting up with my stupidity, to Dunc and Scot for the lifts to and from places, and to all of you who make life worth while.

Training Malvern

June 14th, 2009

On Saturday the 13th, the group I am doing snowden with, climbed the malvern hill from end to end and back again which is about 20 miles round trip.  We managed to do it in just over four and a half hours, which is not bad I think?  Quite a good endurance test as it is one of those up and down walks where every crest has another hill in the distance and there seems no end to it.

I have a few more pains in muscles, mainly from not looking where I was going at one point and stepping off into a cliff drop.  All is well though and I am sort of looking forward to the big one next weekend.  Youy can still sponsor me at this address.
